How do I schedule bulk pickup in Howard County? ›

BULK ITEMS AND SCRAP METAL

Pickup of bulk trash and scrap metal must be scheduled by calling 410-313-6444. A maximum of four (4) bulk items will be collected. Items must be able to be lifted by two collection crew members (oversized and unaccepted items will be tagged and left for the resident's disposal).

Tiger Bulk Policy

Bulk waste pickup is a special pickup for bulky waste / bulky household items. Furniture removal, appliance removal, junk removal, and construction debris removal would all fall into this category. If you are in need of any of these services, please call our office at 908-222-1566 to schedule a removal of these items.

Bulk pick-ups still need to be scheduled through Republic Services in advance. Call Republic at 419.936. 2511 by the day before your regular trash collection day. For example, if your trash collection is Wednesday, you must call Republic to schedule your pick-up by Tuesday, and your items will be collected on Thursday.

Mattresses & box springs can be recycled at the Residents' Convenience Center at Alpha Ridge Landfill or through Ikea 's mattress recycling program. Mattresses & box springs may be picked up with bulk trash collection, but will be recycled.

LASAN will pick up items too large for a normal trash bin free of charge. These include items like beds, couches, and fridges. If you find these items abandoned on the street, please report it, and LASAN will pick them up for free too.

Please call Local Waste Services 24 hours in advance at 614-409-9375 to schedule a bulk pick up. Local Waste Services will collect bulky household items from the curb on your trash service day. Examples of bulky items: Appliances, carpet, furniture and toys.
